About Me

When a clinician is asked what their specialty is, they often focus on specific diagnoses. Although helpful, I believe you are so much more than a diagnosis or collection of symptoms. I think it's important to respect the complicated nature of who we are and the lives we lead. It's about understanding why you are struggling and changing what is not working for you. I think that issues or problems need to be handled with curiosity and not judgement. Only then can we focus on what feels right for you and help you have those things in your life. I believe that, in choosing psychotherapy, one gives oneself a great gift.

I have a certain way of approaching your psychological health, and it's about the way I listen and approach the work. I focus on empowerment through understanding. It's not ultimately about me solving your problems. It's about me teaching you how to trust and listen to yourself in a way that can serve you for a lifetime.

When someone asks me who could benefit from therapy, my answer is, invariably, ‘everyone!’ Life is so busy. I think it is important to press the pause button for an hour a week and check in - How am I? Where am I? Where do I want to go? I have so much respect for anyone that wants to take that step and work to build a better and healthier life.
