Understanding and Supporting Trans and Non-Binary Clients5.jpg

As a wellness professional, you want to always be respectful and knowledgeable about issues your clients are facing. One of those issues runs through the very core of identity and sense of self in relation to others -- Gender Identity. It is not uncommon for counselors, therapists, health coaches, dietitians, and other care takers to feel ill-prepared to discuss issues of gender with clients. Please join us for a candid conversation around gender with social worker and author of The Gender Identity Workbook for Kids: A Guide to Exploring Who You Are, Kelly Storck.

LUNCH INCLUDED -- This workshop includes a networking lunch from 11:30am - 12pm.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand and explain gender and gender diversity

  • Honor and support trans and non-binary clients

  • Better understand the medical/surgical, legal, emotional and social needs of trans and non-binary humans

  • Learn how to write effective letters of support for trans clients
