About Me

With 10 years of advanced training in psychotherapy and group counseling, including three years with the Danielsen Institute at Boston University, Dr. Nancy Friesen helps individuals, families and groups develop strategies and learn skills that will help them manage major and everyday life events. She specializes in the treatment of depression and anxiety, trauma and abuse recovery, grief and loss, career change and coping with disabilities. Dr. Friesen also focuses on women's issues including: postpartum depression, body image, fertility and sexuality.

Dr. Nancy Friesen has an approachable style and emphasizes possibilities for change.

Dr. Friesen earned her PhD. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Michigan State University. Dr. Friesen previously worked as a psychologist at Washington University School of Medicine and as the Director of Counseling at McKendree University.
