About Me

My name is Meghan McLaughlin, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I completed my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and graduated in May of 2019.

I have experience working with eating disorders in a Residential and Partial Hospitalization setting in several positions including direct care, group therapist, and discharge planner. I also have experience working with victims of sexual assault. I currently work part-time with Substance Use Disorders at a local outpatient facility.

I use an Eclectic approach as I believe each client and each presenting concern should be treated individually. Some modalities and theories I use include: Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I also practice from a trauma-informed lens.
