About Me

I believe the cornerstone of therapy is a warm, collaborative, and meaningful connection in which we can explore and learn from our emotions and anxieties, receive needed support, and cultivate greater self-awareness and understanding of our life experiences and relationships. It is through this process that we can foster an upward spiral of healing and growth, and make changes that might have felt overwhelming or too difficult to do on our own.

While I work with a variety of clients and concerns, my practice is centered mainly around addressing anxiety, relationship concerns, life and health transitions (including maternal/postpartum health), as well as adolescent/young adult mental health. I also work with many seeking to better understand and overcome the often complicated influence of past experiences on their current lives. If you don't see a a concern you have listed here, reach out and we can talk about how we could work together, or I can provide you with referrals to other trusted clinicians..

I draw primarily on psychodynamic and emotion-focused approaches to provide clinical services in a down-to-earth and nonjudgmental manner. I greatly value working with individuals diverse in identity and community. I earned my Master of Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill, and have completed clinical training through the UNC Department of Psychiatry Child and Adolescent Clinic, the AEDP Institute, and Postpartum Support International.
