About Me
Hi, I'm Laura! I use the pronouns she/her, and I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) providing therapy both virtually and in-person in the St. Louis region.
I especially enjoy working with:
Overwhelmed pre-teens/teens
Women who have experienced trauma (specifically sexual assault or domestic violence)
Folks who don't feel welcome in other spaces
In general, I provide a warm, nonjudgmental and highly collaborative space for my clients to explore, learn, grow and heal. I expect clients to do hard things in therapy, and in turn, I will be there every step of the way, supporting them wholeheartedly.
In my work with clients, I draw from various evidenced based therapeutic approaches and weave them together as a way to personalize your therapy experience. Human existence is inherently unique for each of us, and that means a uniquely tailored approach to therapy is important. Life isn’t linear, and neither is therapy.
Aside from being a therapist, I’m also a flawed human being, as I expect you are too. I make mistakes, I have bad days, and I have my own biases that require regular checking. My willingness to share my humanness and truly accept the humanness in others is part of what sets me apart as a therapist. It allows me to build strong, trusting relationships with clients, an essential part of my therapeutic process.
